The LaCrosse made its debut in late 2004 as a 2005 model to replace the Century and Regal. Riding on a revised version of the W-body known as MS2000, the LaCrosse was initially available with two powerplant choices in three trim levels: a 3.8 L 3800 Series III V6 available in base CX and mid-level CXL forms, and a 3.6 L HFV6 V6 in the top line CXS model. Power is routed to the front wheels via a 4T65-E automatic transmission (4T65-E HD on Supers).
The name was inspired by a Buick concept car of the same name shown in 2000 and also used as a reference to the sport of lacrosse, seen as popular with a younger, more active demographic to which Buick sought to market.
Buick LaCrosse
Buick has been undergoing a reinvention of sorts, launching new models designed to reinvigorate its image and broaden its fan base. The Buick LaCrosse is one example of this strategy. Its name relates to the exciting sport of lacrosse, which is a hockey-like game played on a grass field. In French Canada, the word is rather naughty, so the LaCrosse is known as the Allure to our northern neighbors. Though the latest-generation LaCrosse is notably more dynamic than its predecessor, it still holds firm to the Buick qualities of a relatively cushy interior and a smooth, quiet ride.
Overall, any Buick LaCrosse offers a driving experience that will suit older, more traditional Buick drivers just fine, while the current LaCrosse may offer enough style and athleticism to appeal to somewhat younger ones as well. Shoppers interested in this type of car will also want to check out established front-wheel-drive rivals like the Acura TL, Lexus ES and Toyota Avalon, as well as the rear-wheel-drive Hyundai Genesis, before settling on the Buick. But we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the current LaCrosse to anyone in search of a comfortable yet capable large sedan.

2012 Buick Enclave that first introduced customers
The Buick Enclave combines fuel-efficiency, functionality, style and comfort in a premium crossover that fits up to eight and their cargo. With EPA-estimated fuel economy of 24 mpg highway (FWD), the Enclave provides better fuel economy than a typical eight-passenger SUV.

It was the Enclave that first introduced customers to Buick’s product resurgence, and it has succeeded in bringing new buyers to the brand. Despite being generously equipped, it is priced less than luxury competitors and is backed by the industry’s best warranty – a four-year, 50,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty and five-year, 100,000-mile powertrain coverage.

2012 Buick Enclave is Luxury midsize crossover SUV
Enclave 2010 edition is a premium midsize crossover SUV, which shares its basic design concepts with GMC Acadia and Chevrolet Traverse.
It combines the responsive handling abilities of a car and smooth ride quality with the high seating arrangement and cargo room of a SUV.
Trim Levels and Engine Options
buick enclave
This large sized crossover SUV is offered in three trim levels- CX, CXL1 and CXL2. 2010 Enclave comes with a choice of either all-wheel drive or front-wheel drive.
The integrated engine is a 3.6-liter V6 that can generate an output power of 288 hp and torque of 270 pf, mated to a standard 6-speed auto transmission with remarkable responsive downshifts.
By opting for an elective trailering package, Enclave can tow around 4500 pounds.
Fuel Economy
The EPA estimated fuel efficiency of front wheel drivers is 17 mpg city, 24 mpg highways, and 19 mpg combined, while these figures drop down to 16/22/18 mpg in all wheel drive models.
EPA fuel economy estimates stand at 17 mpg/24 mpg highway and 19 mpg combined for front-wheel-drive models, while all-wheel-drivers drop to 16/22/18. With the optional trailering package, the Enclave can tow up to 4,500 pounds.
Cloth seats are standard on CX models; perforated and heated leather seats are standard on CXL models. The first row includes two bucket seats, while the second-row comes standard with two captain's chairs. A second-row 60/40-split bench (three passengers) seat is available.
Enclave’s second-row seats feature GM’s Smart Slide system, a popular feature that allows easy entry to the third row with the pull of one handle. With Smart Slide, the second-row seat cushion flips up while the seatback slides forward, compressing the space occupied by the seat. The seats also have fore/aft adjustment. When adjusted rearward, the second-row seat provides more legroom for taller passengers; when adjusted forward, it provides more storage space or additional legroom for third-row passengers.
The third row features a standard 60/40-split bench seat that can accommodate three adult passengers.
Safety-enhancing features include four-wheel anti-lock brakes, StabiliTrak electronic stability control system with rollover mitigation technology and GM's tire pressure monitoring system are standard. Traction control also is standard on all models.
Enclave is equipped with six standard air bags: two dual-stage frontal air bags, two seat-mounted side-impact air bags in the first row and two roof rail air bags that cover all three seating rows. Complementing the air bags is GM’s rollover sensing system, which activates the roof rail air bags if sensors determine an impending rollover.
Because rollover crashes typically last longer than non-rollover crashes, the roof rail air bags stay inflated longer to provide increased occupant protection and containment.
The latest model year also saw a couple minor changes, including 19-inch nine-spoke chrome-clad aluminum wheel replacing the seven-spoke chromed aluminum wheel, standard on CXL2 and available on CXL1. The color palette was also expanded to include: Cyber Gray Metallic, Dark Ming Blue and Gray Green Metallic exterior finishes.
